From June 16–21, 2025, Indonesian Prenatal Institute hosted its 5th Prenatal Ultrasound Course, combining online learning and intensive hands‑on practice. The program brought together medical professionals from across Indonesia, united by a common goal: advancing their ultrasound and screening skills to optimize maternal and fetal outcomes.
Day 1–3: Online Sessions, Building the Foundation
The first three days (June 16–18) featured interactive online lectures focusing on the essentials of maternal‑fetal care:
- Screening for pregnancy complications and early clinical management
- Basic obstetric ultrasound techniques for safe and accurate assessments
- Postpartum care and family planning services, highlighting a holistic approach to patient care

Day 4–6: Hands‑On Training & OSCE, Putting Knowledge into Practice
The final three days (June 19–21) were conducted in‑person at the Prenatal Center, where participants put theory into practice under expert guidance. The intensive offline sessions included:
- Hands‑on patient scanning across all trimesters, allowing participants to gain experience with pregnant patients at every gestational stage.
- USG Simulation with Volutracer OPUS, an advanced training tool that drew significant interest from participants, making the learning process more interactive and precise.
- Intensive hands‑on training and OSCE, ensuring every participant gained real‑world experience and mastered the equipment, supported by expert feedback and mentoring throughout the process.
For the Indonesian Prenatal Institute (IPI), this training is built upon a core philosophy: “I Learn, I Can, I Do, and I Contribute”. The goal is for every participant to walk away with practical, actionable skills, and the commitment to apply this knowledge in their daily practice.

It’s about making sure that what is learned becomes a tool to save lives, support families, and build a stronger foundation for maternal and fetal health across Indonesia and beyond. Together, we can make a difference, one examination, one patient, and one pregnancy at a time.
