Following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Indonesian Prenatal Institute (IPI) and Rumah Sakit Islam Kendal, the first series of trainings to implement Safe Preeclampsia Screening has officially begun.
As part of this collaboration, IPI conducted both an on-site Safe Pre-Eclampsia Seminar & Hands-On session and a dedicated training program for midwives at RSI Kendal. These activities were designed to prepare healthcare providers, from doctors to frontline midwives—to deliver early, accurate, and standardized preeclampsia screening based on the SafePrenatal framework.
The training introduced participants to the core components of the screening pathway, strengthened measurement accuracy, and ensured that providers share a unified understanding of counseling, follow-up, and referral processes. By equipping teams across different roles, RSI Kendal is laying the groundwork for a screening model that is consistent, practical, and ready for real-world clinical flow.
This initiative reflects the shared vision of IPI and RSI Kendal: to bring proven, evidence-based preeclampsia prevention beyond major cities and into regional hospitals where accessible screening can make an even greater impact. With structured training now underway, RSI Kendal is taking its first steps toward adopting a system that has demonstrated a meaningful decline in preeclampsia cases within the SafePrenatal population.
Through this collaboration, both institutions aim to ensure that more mothers receive early detection, timely intervention, and safer pregnancies, one hospital, one region at a time.
